This June, Storyteller’s Canvas goes off-grid. Under an open sky and beneath the folds of a glowing tent, The Khaki Scouts gather for a night of adventure, heart, and hilarity. Bring your story, your wonder, and your best scout salute—we're headed into the woods of imagination.
Welcome to Camp Storyteller
In this outdoor edition, the stories don’t stop at the mic. As each artist shares, our in-house Khaki Scouts take notes... and then take the stage. During intermission and at the end of the night, they’ll perform an improvised skit that reimagines every story shared—stitched together with humor, heart, and just enough campfire chaos.
Dress the Part
Come dressed as if you’ve wandered out of Wes Anderson’s Moonrise Kingdom: scout uniforms, binoculars, saddle shoes, ribbons, retro flair. Think earnest, peculiar, and charmingly prepared.
Tell It Like a Scout
Artists of all kinds have 7 minutes to share something true, strange, funny, or luminous. Sign-ups happen at the event—arrive early to claim your slot around the metaphorical fire.
The Final Badge
At night’s end, the audience will vote for the storyteller who captured the spirit of the evening. The winner will receive a prize from our sponsor, Mariah Fralick of Bell, Book & Candle (@bellbookandcandleslc)—a token of the magic that happens when stories find their people.
